Final Thoughts

I recently purchased a motorcycle on the internet.

These are my experiences as they happened.

Where should I begin?  As with any good story the beginning is a good place to start.  I searched the internet for the motorcycle of my choice.  It happened to be an on/off road type.  It could, however, be any of your choice.  My research lead me to believe that Lifan was the way to go.  Most internet sites were selling for about the same price of around $1200.00.  I found a very fancy web site which was loaded with lots of information and tons of pictures………

The first thing I want to say is ……Web sites are misleading!  A great looking site with lots of information could be run from someone’s broom closet.  A large company may only have a very small web site.  What should have triggered me was the fact that there were no phone numbers on the site.  Other than that, it looked perfectly legitimate.

At the time I thought the price was fair so I placed my order with my trusty credit card.  Guess what?  It wouldn’t go through.  Dam those pesky safeguards!  I emailed the web site and they immediately told me that it was unfortunate that my card was declined and offered alternate payment methods.  Wow, this guy has got it together!  I had to call my credit card company to unlock the card so it could be used for such a large amount.  After a long talk with someone in the Philippines my card was again ready to be tried.  This time, success!  Motorcycle ordered and again another quick e-mail response.  What a super company to deal with.
